Book of Mosiah : ウィキペディア英語版 | Book of Mosiah
The Book of Mosiah ( or 〔(LDS.org: "Book of Mormon Pronunciation Guide" ) (retrieved 2012-02-25), IPA-ified from «mō-sī´a ''or'' mō-zī´a»〕) is one of the books which make up the Book of Mormon. The title refers to Mosiah II, a king of the Nephites at Zarahemla. The book covers the time period between ''ca'' 130 BC and 91 BC, except for when the book has a flashback into the Record of Zeniff, which starts at ''ca'' 200 BC, according to footnotes. The original authorship of the book is unknown, but it is stated that it was abridged by Mormon. ==Etymology== According to original research by John Sawyer and John W. Welch, the term ''mosiah'' was an ancient Hebrew term. The key meaning of the word ''mosiah'' was "savior."〔John Sawyer and John W. Welch in (What Was a "Mosiah"? ) in the book ''(Reexploring the Book of Mormon )''〕
